This theme park offers so much more. The fascinating and internationally acclaimed Victorian Village takes visitors back in time to wander through authentically and painstakingly re-created Victorian streets with shops, homes and businesses. The famous Chemist’s Shop is a real life time capsule that was hidden and untouched for 70 years before being transported lock stock and barrel to Flambards.
Britain in the Blitz provides a unique experience, or reminder, of what life was like during war-torn Britain; hear the wailing sirens, smell the burning and see the devastation created by an enemy air attack.
For those with their head in the clouds there is a new exhibition this year, A Century of Pioneering Flight, which chronicles the remarkable achievements of pilots and their flying machines from 1902 to today. Other aircraft exhibited include the Concorde prototype and a chance to get ‘hands-on’ inside a vintage Shackleton Bomber.
