New for 2008 - A Century of Pioneering Flight
The displays show the achievements of pilots and their flying machines from 1902 to today. Including the record breaking flights of Richard Pearce and Charles Kingsford-Smith, a forebear of Flambard's Chairman Kingsford-Hale, and, more recently the speed records of Concorde and the projected solar-powered round-the-world flight planned for 2009.
Do not miss the famous Chemist's shop. Boarded up in 1910, this time capsule was unlocked and transported to Flambards, lock stock and cobweb over 70 years later.
The collection of wonderful wedding dresses through the ages worn by the brides themselves. You can even see a wedding dress made out of parachute fabric!
Don't forget to walk inside the luxury supersonic Concorde and imagine yourself flying in this luxury form of travel.
