Rides Safety and Access Guide
We welcome visits by disabled people and will do all that is possible to ensure a safe and pleasurable stay. However, certain rides and attractions in our park can be physically demanding and vigourous. We therefore reserve the right to refuse admission to certain rides should we feel there is a danger to a particular individual or individuals for whatever reason. We have been advised by the Health and Safety Executive that refusal on the ground of Health and Safety does not constitute discrimination. We hope that you understand and accept the decisions made in interest of your own safety.
All riders and carers must check ride information and the actual ride, prior to embarkation, to ensure movements of the ride and rider 'bodymass' is sufficient to allow proper operation of all restraint devices and to ensure that 'Body Control', that may only be known to rider or carer, will allow the rider to brace or hold tightly to rails or restraints.
Special Requirements
Assistance animals are permitted into the park provided they are harnessed with designated markings. Wheelchairs are available FREE on loan from the main entrance. A limited number is abailable and advanced booking on 01326 573404 is highly recommended. A special exhibition route guide is available for mobility impaired guests.
Wheelchair access is allowed to rides as far as practically possible. Transferring from a wheelchair is the responsibility of the carer/helper. Staff are not permitted to lift guests, but will assist and give instructions for boarding. Guests must use normal entrances to rides and exits appropriate to their wheelchair under the direction of the ride operator. There is no separate fast track boarding access to rides.
Staff and management are pleased to offer advice as required. Please enjoy your visit.
