Flambards Announces NEW White Knuckle Ride!
Published: 7th March 2017Work has officially got underway on a spectacular new addition to Flambards Theme Park.
Sky-Force is the first genuine ‘white knuckle’ ride to be unveiled in the South West and is set to open at the Helston attraction this summer.
Suspended on a set of four giant 18-metre metal legs, the Frisbee-shaped ride exerts the equivalent of up to 3G in force on passengers while swinging them in a pendulum motion and simultaneously spinning through 360 degrees.
The ride has a minimum height requirement of 1.4 metres.
Flambards General Manager, Richard Smith, said: “Sky-Force is a real white knuckle ride and it will be the first of its type and size to operate in the South West.
“As a result we are expecting it will prove hugely popular with our visitors and we will be keeping everyone fully updated with its progress over the next weeks and months as we get closer to officially unveiling it.
“It can accommodate up to 40 people so you will be able to share the excitement and watch the expressions of the other riders as the speed increases and the g-forces really start to take effect!” he added.
The new ride is the latest in a series of new developments and attractions to open at the Cornish theme park in recent years.
“Sky-Force is a significant addition to the park and will provide a major new reason for people to visit,” said Richard.
“Everyone here is very excited to finally be able to get work underway on the new ride and we can’t wait to unveil it to our visitors this summer,” he added.
Visitors to the park will be able to watch the construction of the ride when they visit. It will then undergo intensive trials and inspection before being opened to the public.
