Summer Entertainment at Flambards
Published: 17th July 2017The sounds of oooh and aaaargh will ring out across Flambards theme park, Cornwall, this summer, with fireworks displays and a pirate show among the highlights of an ambitious summer events programme.
The park in Helston will open all of its best-loved indoor and outdoor amusements daily from the 1st July to 10th September. But that’s not enough for organisers, who have scheduled additional entertainment shows day and night, as part of the ticket price.
Throughout August, the daytime entertainments programme will include:
- Billy Wizz Magic Show, Tuesdays - August 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Much-loved magician, ventriloquist and balloon modelling genuis Billy Wizz wows the crowds twice a day – at 1pm and 3pm.
- Flambards Creepy Crawly Wild Animal Show, Thursdays - August 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. Little and big kids get a chance to face their fears, by getting up close and personal with a tarantula, python and even a turkey vulture. Shows twice daily at 1pm and 3pm.
- The Big Top Sunday Circus, August 6, 13, 20, 27. The circus doesn’t come to town – it comes to Flambards, when a troupe performs shows throughout the day. Afterwards, children learn how it’s done via workshops in poi, balloon modelling, plate spinning and hula hooping. The event also features face painting, and illusions featuring site mascot, Ferdi the Fox.
- Swashbuckling Pirate Adventure & Illusion Show – Monday August 14. Roguish pirates present a spectacular adventure and illusion show aboard the ‘high seas’ of Flambards. Get on board for magical stunts filled with fire, fun and laughter in the entertainments venue.
Visitors will then also be able to enjoy fireworks displays every week on Mondays - August 14, 21 and 28; and Wednesdays, August 9, 16, 23 and 30. Displays will be complemented by a line-up of strong tribute pop acts.
