Published: 24th August 2015It's looking like the sun will return to Cornwall for August Bank Holiday Weekend so we have collated our top 10 rides to experience with the family over the weekend.
From great classic family fun rides to the thrill seekers drop experience, twisting sky high and upside down or plunging into water, Flambards Theme Park in Cornwall has something to suit all ages!
Here’s our top ten! But what are your favourites?
- Skyraker 001 - Experience the fantastic view of the Cornish countryside and wave to your friends below. The Skyraker 001 is the only drop, twisting ride of its kind in the UK and is bound to make your stomach lurch.
- Sky Swinger - Swoop into the Cornish Sky on our brand new ride. Whizzing you around, 13 metres high above the Park, this is a fabulously fun flying experience.
- Thunderbolt - Only for the daring and those who have a strong stomach! Twist round and upside down and view the clouds (and hopefully some blue sky) from high above the ground. Screams are aplenty on this thrill seekers ride.
- The Hornet - Enjoy the large drops and rapid turns on this fantastic rollercoaster. Suitable for heights above 70cm tall, this is a thrilling family rollercoaster!
- The Colorado Log Flume - Prepare to get wet! This water chute ride is great to experience as a family. Riders must be 70cm plus as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
- Space Race- This spinning ride will transport you into darkness where you will reach dizzying speeds through the unknown galaxy!
- Rockin Tug - Suitable for children over 105cm this ride is a brilliant way to imagine a rough Cornish Sea without the splash!
- Space Shuttle – Ever imagined flying into space? Take on the mission and reach for the sky on our own spacecraft. As the astronaut, you can take the controls and decide whether you want to fly to space or descend back down to planet Earth.
- Teacups - This classic ride is for children and adults alike. Be prepared to spin gently round and round for some dizzy fun in a coloured cup and see if you can walk straight afterwards.
- The Carousel - This classic ride is great if you fancy a gentler pace. Imagine you are Mary Poppins and hop on a beautiful horse. Look out for their own individual names!
Ride them all and more this bank holiday at Flambards!
